Stitching that fails, corners that wear, card slots that loosen within months. It looked like quality. It wasn't. We kept asking a simple question: what if it didn't have to be that way?

Once & Leather is an independent Swiss workshop. Every piece is designed, cut, stitched and finished by the same hands, in limited quantities. No outsourcing, no production line. Our products are named after the idea of travel: the Wayfarer, the Expedition, the Meridian.

The shoebill

Our emblem comes from Uganda. Travelling light, with just a journal and a camera strap, we watched a shoebill stand at the water's edge: perfectly still, never hurried, built to last in a world that moves fast. Those first two objects became our first handmade pieces.
